In August of 2011 Endeavor Snowboards opened an R&D facility, rightfully named Archetype. While primarily developing product technology, the Archetype insignia is also found on a limited line of high-end products also created in the lab. We rolled out a thoughtful two-part identity system inspired by bees & hives. The building is branded with a clear icon, while product branding uses a derivative symbol to link the two. When a consumer experiences both product and facility, the beehive narrative unfolds, ultimately including them in the “know.”
